Low fat yogurt,
Low Fat Yogurt Vs Regular Yogurt
Low Fat Yogurt Vs Regular Yogurt
The easiest
yet slightly unreliable way of being able to differentiate between low-fat
yogurt and regular yogurt is the thickness.
Normal yogurt generally tastes more creamy and
thick. One of the exceptions is the non-fat Greek yogurt that has more whey
strained out. Even though it is non- fat, it thick and has a creamy texture and
has higher protein content than non-fat yogurt. In some organic yogurt the
calorie count can be as much as 10-20 calories lesser than normal yogurt. The
wise choice would be to go for a low-fat or no-fat yogurt with added vitamin D
that will increase absorption of fat-soluble vitamin D and calcium. If you are
looking to reduce fat in your diet then non-fat yogurt is a better choice.
However, if you are looking for high-nutrition with higher calcium yogurt then
your definite choice is a regular yogurt. If you have a balanced diet then you
can enjoy flavored regular yogurt.
